About Us

After four dynamic decades of introducing Long Islanders to rarefied music that would, undoubtedly, leave an indelible imprint on them, and forever weave itself into the tapestry of their lives, Lake Ronkonkoma’s Record Stop flagship store moved to a warehouse location located in Shirley, NY in 2010.

Owner, Bruce Berg, began his career by selling 8-tracks on the side of the road in the early ’70s, and opened Record Stop with $60, a dream and a hunch it would work….40 years later and many changes in the record industry, Record Stop and Monostereo are still thriving.

The Record Stop/Monostereo warehouse is open to the public to shop Monday Through Friday 9am – 5pm.
